Who’s ready for a tea party in the Underhive?

House goliath with an eye on the uphive

When my group of friends and I recently and eagerly decided to jump into Necromunda and it’s been a blast. I was a kid in the 90’s and was captivated by anything that Games Workshop produced so the rerelease of this classic was an opportunity to kick off some really great tabletop shenanigans.

I wanted to make a gang that had some kind of twist on the standard aesthetic of the various Houses and decided to start with the Goliath gang from the starter boxed set.

The idea of a brute squad of Goliath gangers who thought they were just a little too important to rub shoulders with their forge-bound cousins and who idealized the regal trappings, demeanor, and influence of those in the seat of power gaveway to the powder-topped stylings you see here.

Big wigs

I imagined they they would have armour coloring and hair pieces that were a cheap, gaudy, and unsubtle twist on the style of the uphive types and aristocrats they envied.

From Greenstuff to Glory

Bits from Space Marine Scouts were great for conversions and some of the old metal Goliath minis got a nice powder-topped update. I experimented with a wide range of sizes and shapes for the wigs to really give each ganger a sense of individual style.

Lots of layers for that savage fade!
